The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the power cord on certain models of Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore Elite or Thermador dishwashers may overheat and catch on fire.
This involves models made from January 2008 through December 2013. There have been 10 reports of overheating, according to the commission. Five of those reports included property damage but there have been no injuries reported.
The commission says consumers should immediately stop using the dishwasher and contact the parent company, BSH Home Appliances, for a free inspection and repair.
Model and serial numbers are located on the top side of the dishwashers’ inner door panels.
