Captain Charles A. Banks has been selected to participate in the 2015-2016 inaugural Alabama Public Safety Leadership Academy Program. The APSLA Program is managed by an Advisory Board based out of the Alabama State Fire College in Tuscaloosa. The program is open to professionals in the public safety field to include law enforcement, fire service, EMS, 911 dispatchers and Emergency Management Agency personnel. Captain Banks was selected by the Advisory Board of the APSLA Program due to his public safety experience and a combination of education, training and unique perspectives. This leadership development program is nine months in length and will begin in September. Captain Banks is honored to be chosen for this prestigious leadership development program which will enhance his professional career. Captain Banks is a 35 year veteran of the fire service and is currently assigned to Hoover Fire Station # 5 in the Bluff Park neighborhood.
